What is CareCorner?

CareCorner is a place for you to discuss ideas, opinions and experiences about Wellbeing, Health and Health Care. Conversations topics vary; we may be talking about:
  • what people want from a health and care partner
  • daily health and wellbeing challenges in our busy lives
  • testing new ideas relating to health and related services
  • attitudes towards health insurance and other health related products and services including those provided by the Bupa Australia and New Zealand companies
  • and our diverse experiences in health care with providers.
CareCorner will not post any health advice. Any advice or information posted by other CareCorner members should not be considered medical advice and should not replace consultation with a qualified medical professional.

How are my survey responses handled?

Survey responses are collated and analysed collectively by Evolved Insights Pty Ltd (Evolved), and are then presented and used by key team members on behalf of the Bupa Australia and New Zealand companies including:
  • Bupa HI Pty Ltd;
  • Bupa Health Services Pty Ltd;
  • Dental Corporation Pty Ltd and Dental Corporation (NZ) Limited;
  • Bupa Optical Pty Limited;
  • Bupa Aged Care Australia Pty Ltd;
  • Bupa Care Villages Australia Pty Ltd;
  • Bupa Telehealth Pty Limited;
  • Bupa Medical Visa Services,
and their related bodies corporate (together, Bupa). These Bupa team members will then use this data to make informed decisions on how to improve Bupa's products and services for the benefit of Bupa’s customers.

At CareCorner, we respect the privacy of your personal information in our care, and will handle your personal information primarily in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and the CareCorner Privacy Statement, as well as the following privacy policies (as applicable):

Who manages CareCorner?

Will you respond to every post on CareCorner?

In short, no. CareCorner is a place for you to discuss ideas, opinions and experiences with other community members, and for CareCorner to listen to that discussion. The Team at CareCorner will read every post, and where we can add value, we will comment.

How do I give member feedback about service to Bupa?

If you would prefer to speak directly with Bupa, please get in touch with Bupa member support on 134 135, who are on hand to listen to and action your queries. You can also visit the Bupa website at www.bupa.com.au for other numbers and links to send emails.

I am new to CareCorner. How do I get started?

Please register for CareCorner by providing us with your first name, last name and email address and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email confirming your email address and a link that will direct you to the CareCorner site.

From there we’d love you to fill out some profile information so we can get to know you better and can tailor the most relevant content for you.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details at any time via your My Profile page.

Prizes, rewards, and donations

How do I earn points?

You can earn points on CareCorner by being active on the community. Participation in quick polls, surveys, and the Conversations section of the community all earn you points. Each point gives you an entry into the monthly prize draw. Click on My Account in the top right hand corner of the page to see how many points you have earned. For more detail, you can also click on My Activity, which you will find on the My Account menu under My Winnings.

Tell me more about the prize draws

CareCorner offers entry into a monthly draw with a heap of prizes – twenty $20 eGift cards and one $100 eGift card are up for grabs each month. Every point you earn completing CareCorner activities gives you another entry into the monthly prize draw.

How do I collect my prize?

Prizes can be redeemed via the My Prizes then My Winnings page under My Account

How will I receive my prize?

Your prize will be emailed to you when you redeem. The email will have a link to the GiftPay website where you select your eGift card(s). If you do not receive the email containing the link, please get in touch with support@giftpay.com and they will be able to reissue the link to you.

Where can I use my gift card?

We have GiftPay cards valued from $20 to $100 from a variety of major retailers including: Chemist Warehouse; Apple iTunes; and Kmart. Alternatively, you may wish to donate all or some of your reward to one of the charities listed on the GiftPay site. A full list of the currently available rewards and charities can be viewed here. Please see www.giftpay.com.au for separate terms and conditions applicable to GiftPay eGift Cards. Note that eGift Cards are valid and redeemable for use in Australia only for three years from the date of activation.

How do the donations to Not For Profit organisations work?

Recognising your contributions to the CareCorner community, every month we will donate $500 across three health-related not for profit organisations as voted by CareCorner community members that month. At the start of each month look out for the quick poll titled, ‘Your preferred charity’ and cast your vote.

Be respectful of other members of CareCorner

We encourage all members of CareCorner to share their thoughts and experiences openly. Members are expected to be respectful of other members. Content deemed to be offensive, abusive, harassing, untrue or unkind will be removed from CareCorner. We reserve the right to remove offending members from the community to protect the wellbeing and best interests of the community at large.

Protecting community information

Sometimes community members may choose to share personal stories and information on forums. We ask that you do not share personal or confidential information from other community members without their consent.

Keep your details up to date

Please let us know if there is a change in your contact details or your circumstances. Your details can be updated via the Profile page under My Account

We like to keep in touch with our members and let you know what is coming up on the community each week by sending an email.
